Sr. Christine Lavoie serves St. Mary’s Elementary as interim principal

WESTFIELD – Fr. John Salatino and the St. Mary’s community welcomed back Christine Lavoie, SSJ, as the interim prinicipal for St. Mary’s Elementary School during Principal Juli Jensen Derrig’s leave.

Lavoie and the Springfield Superintendent of Diocesan Schools, Dr. Daniel Baillargeon, will be maintaining St. Mary’s Elementary School. Lavoie can be reached at [email protected]
Lavoie is no stranger to the school, having served as principal for 17 years.

“I am excited to see the students and families I knew, and I am looking forward to meeting the new students and families that have joined us,” said Lavoie, adding she believes it will be “a good fit” during the transition and she looks forward to coming back to a familiar setting.

St. Mary’s Parish School provides academic excellence in a faith filled environment to its students.
