The Hampden County District Attorney has released the following information:
Vadim Misiruk
WESTFIELD – Thursday, September 19, 2019 at approximately 3:19 p.m. members of the Westfield Police Department responded to Stanley Park in the vicinity of Gate #4 for a report of a deceased person being found.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the deceased male in a wooded area. He was later identified as Mr. Nazar Tkach, 17, of Southwick.
Detectives quickly identified a suspect early in the investigation and sought him out. Vadim Misiruk, 19, of Westfield, has been arrested and charged with murder for his alleged involvement in the homicide.
He is expected to be arraigned today in Westfield District Court
This is an on-going investigation being conducted by detectives from the Westfield Police Department, and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, assistant district attorneys with the Hampden District Attorney’s Office’s Murder Unit, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
