Thomas H. Mulligan

Westfield – flagThomas H. Mulligan, 74, died Sunday, March 5, 2017 at home, after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Bronx, NY and has been a long time resident of Westfield. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1959-1960.He was a Springfield Police Officer for 20 years and was the Police Chief in Russell for 11 years. He was a member of the Sons of Erin, the Slovak Hall and the American Legion. He leaves his wife Jane Mulligan, his daughter Kelley Gibson, his granddaughter Ava Gibson, his son Scott Mulligan and his wife Lynne and their children Sara and Colby and his daughter Robin Mulligan all of Westfield. Tom also leaves his brother Neal Mulligan and his wife Karen of CT, his sister-in-law Elizabeth Mulligan of Chicopee and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother Eugene Mulligan.

The funeral for Tom will be held on Thursday, March 9th at 10 am From the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will follow at 11 am in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 pm. Firtionadams.com
