Thomas N. Gezotis

CHESTER-Thomas N. Gezotis, 88, died Monday, February 8, 2016 in Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Bridgewater to the late Nicholas and Jenny Gezotis on November 27, 1927. He grew up in Brockton and joined the local Iron Workers Union. He was a WWIIflag Army Veteran serving in the 101st Airborne Division as a paratrooper and served in Japan for 2 years. Thomas was a career Ironworker and came to Westfield in 1966. He has lived in Chester since 1991. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed hunting, fishing and working around his house and traveling. He leaves his children Thomas N. Gezotis II, Peter W. Gezotis and Curt Gezotis and his wife Christina, all of Westfield. He also leaves his grandchildren Thomas, Nicholas, Christian and Shaun and his great-grandson Nicholas as well as his longtime companion Louise Bergeron of Chester. He was pre-deceased by his sons Nicholas and Larry. Calling hours will be held on Saturday February 13th from 1-3 p.m. from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. Military Honors will be rendered at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Westfield Animal Shelter.
