Just as I was in the midst of closing out the pro football season in grand fashion … along came a 6-6 record in Week 16.
I guess I could blame Santa, Star Wars, or my fantasy football football championships for distracting me, but I will chalk it up to just being plain, flat-out average. Put a lump of coal in my stocking.
Seventy-seven percent of our entrants in our “Beat ‘The Putz'” pro football challenge posted a winning record in Week 16. Six people tied for first place at 10-2. Stan Kozik finished closest to the official tiebreaker score of 29 with 27 points. Kozik is our contest’s second two-time winner, having also won in Week 2.
The games that seemed to trip people up the most this past week were Raiders-Chargers, Cowboys-Eagles, and Seahawks-Cardinals. Most people got those all wrong.
Now on to my Week 17 picks: Patriots, Bills, Saints, Bengals, Packers, Chiefs, Vikings, Falcons, Ravens, Cowboys, Titans, Colts, Giants, Raiders, Rams, 49ers.
