To the Editor

With elections coming up on Tuesday, I had to say something. I am very aggravated by some of the candidates and their put downs of America. That: we are falling apart, that we under siege, that we are not a great nation, etc. While we are not in great shape we are in better shape than many if not most. The Mega-marketeers and their messed up investment schemes, as over dependence on the Chinese economy, and the failure of the Euros to understand their problems thus how to solve them have weakened the world economy. But, for the many of our economy is not all that bad: employment up, gas has driven not only their own costs down, but the prices of other things as well. Thus, with our freed up cash we are spending more, but as I read it more responsibly.
Next: Ok, I disagree with a lot that the Obama administration has done; not only as an Independent voter, but overall. But, let’s give credit where due, unlike Congress. He got us through the Great Recession and we, at least, are OK. But, he is not running again, so why are so many running against him? As well, they are, has Congress has done attacking him for following up on his campaign promises that got him elected twice by a majority of American voters. While some may not like it, what is so wrong with doing what you promised to do?
Along with this I get this denial that they had nothing to do with any mess that we have. Eight years of “just say No” without alternatives? I guess that we should not have done the things that worked.
As for the candidates: I do not get Trumps popularity, yes the venting that many of do feel like doing, attacking the integrity of others so rudely, that won’t work in D.C. And, I hate to break it to him he can’t fire Congress and the Supreme Court when they disagree, and call them stupid, and losers won’t get them or anyone to cooperate. And, he understands the plight of everyday Americans, when he started off with a Million dollar loan from his father, and his connections; then inheriting $200 Million. Who could not succeed in business with that, but he went bankrupt 4 times? Oh, independent fact checkers said he has been wrong about his claims, like 60% of the time????
Rubio is another that is another put down artist; what has he contributed to solving the problems? Cruz, who has been the bad boy of Republicans in the Senate, he’s going to get them to cooperate…Elephants have long memories. As well, as a “Christian, he has no problem with carpet bombing 1,000’s of civilians to achieve his military goals. And, what military experience do they have, or is it that it is ok for 1,000’s of Americans to die, another $ trillion spent in another war? WE are not expendable and people are not disposable.
And, both are loophole Americans, for if not for the loophole created so that any Cuban fleeing Cuba only had to put their feet on American soil, made them a legal alien. If not for that loop hole they could not run for office. And, remember that many of those crossing the Mexican border are still Cubans. As well, out drug habits have funded the narco-terrorists that dominate the countries of Central America. I guess even the Pope is wrong about that.
These guys sound like it is so easy to solve very complex problems that I’ll get into later. Of the remaining Republican, Kasich seems to be the only reasonable one left who can work with the new Speaker, and with Dems. Of the Dems, Sanders I feel carries the frustration of many Americans, but, again, I think Clinton can work with Congress, if they are actually willing to work with anyone.
So, good luck Tuesday, vote you brain not your emotions.
