Letters/Editor

To the editor

Hello Westfield,  Great News…but first, also in today’s paper is an ad with myself and Ollie.  The reason is that many know me from my editorials, but not personally, and others know me personal, especially from my walking Ollie through much of Ward 3; I wanted to combine the two so that when you see me we can talk, and I welcome that; positive or negative; but be polite.  That is how we get Americans working together again.

Now for the great news: Sen. Humason’s office contacted to say that he will file a bill to enact The John McCain, and All American POW’s Day of Remembrance for March 14th, along with Rep. John Velis.  I want to thank all of you who have contacted me in support of this initiative.  Further, the proposal has been sent out to all the Veterans organizations is Westfield for their support.  As well, I am going through my E-address book to touch base with my old friends in the House and Senate to support this measure, as well people of influence to do likewise.  I will even try my limited skills with Facebook to post to the 100’s who are on it to likewise support this initiative.

Isn’t it about time that everyday Americans took charge of something rather than a corporate entity, or political faction with strings attached?  It speaks volumes of what Americans are really about.  And, for the readers: who says a broke senior citizen can’t still contribute to the greater American purpose and principles.  So if I can, so too can you.  Let’s find those real common shared interests and needs to be addressed work together without a bureaucrat having to oversee it.   Again, I want to thank all of you who have responded on the support side…please keep using your social networks to advance this initiative….it is working….WOW.  Your former Ward 3 City Councilor, Brian Hoose …[email protected].
