To the Editor: Hello Ward 3 and Westfield

I would like to congratulate the good people of Ward 3 in the area of Whitney Park. The job you did on building the new play scape is magnificent. Again, thanks to Wil Rodriguez and Dianna Mclean for making it possible, but especially too the very day people who physically did the work. As well, the city employees who showed up to help. I went by several times walking my dog and saw it go from a dirt area to a beautiful structure that your children will be able to enjoy for years. The improvements at Whitney Park have been great over the past few years. Add in the rail trail, and hopefully fire pits and maybe more benches for people to sit and enjoy the park will be forth coming. Even though no longer your Ward Councilor, I continue to work to improve the place I live. And, will continue to advocate for further up grades. One in particular that I am working on is to get stair ways down the levee so us older folks can get down safely and parents and their little kids. The problem is complicated by regulations, that if you use an amount of space, you have to replace it. But, I will work on this and hopefully find a way to deal with it. Again, Olga Rodriquez and your crew THANKS, and GRACIAS, for your dedication and commitment.

I want to thank Patrick Barry too, for finding my pulse line contribution on Politically Correctness. There are at least two sides to any opinion. Again while over used, or used to make an excuse to be rude, being socially responsible is also important.

Lastly, I have gotten the Secretary of States acceptance of my charter for a non-profit: Independent Centrist Voters Network (ICVN), and will be working on getting out the message that so many of us share, that our Political Parties are not representing us. The ICVN is not to be a political party but to give a voice to the unrepresented, but the many of us who seek reasonable and responsible governance. As well, to encourage and enable non-party people the means to participate in our responsibilities as citizen members of our nation, and communities to govern. Also, to advocate for our American Exceptionalism. As such, I am preparing to respond to erroneous statements in the media. And, to provide you with an actually fact based, honest. non-ideological, non-self-serving set of principles and their origins in our nation’s founding. Again, thank all of you good people for helping and doing so much. Brian Hoose, [email protected]
