WESTFIELD–An accident involving a tractor-trailer occurred during the morning hours Tuesday on North Elm Street.
According to Westfield Police Capt. Michael McCabe, a tractor-trailer had struck a fire hydrant, as well as a propane tank, around 5 a.m. Tuesday morning.
McCabe said that the tractor-trailer was in the process of making a turn. However, while doing so, the trailer that it had been carrying became detached somehow, and both the fire hydrant and propane tank ended up being struck.
No injuries were reported, however.
