Vehicles ‘egged’

WESTFIELD – A spate of vandalism incidents in the Meadow Street were reported to police Thursday after residents discovered that their vehicles had been struck by eggs during the previous night.
Specific vehicles may have been targeted as two of the victims of the three reporting parties said that their cars had previously been “egged’ repeatedly but neither identified a suspect when they reported the incidents to police.
The incidents were reported on East Bartlett Street, Meadow Street and George Street.
One of the victims reported damage – chipped paint – and one reported no damage. The third victim said that the residual egg on the car was frozen so it was not immediately known if minor damage was hidden by the eggs.
