Victoria Marie Whalen

WESTFIELD – Victoria Marie Whalen, 21, (1996-2018) of Westfield, passed away tragically on March 20, 2018.  Victoria was born July 11, 1996, the beloved daughter of Daniel and Eva Whalen.

Vickie was raised in Westfield and was a 2014 graduate of Westfield High School, where she was an outstanding student and athlete. Vickie played multiple sports while growing up and in high school, but she especially loved lacrosse. She was a Lady Bombers’ Varsity Girls Lacrosse Captain and 2014 All Western Mass Selection. After graduating from WHS, Vickie attended Keene State College where she lettered in lacrosse before transferring to Westfield State University where she became a 2017 Dean’s List selection. Vickie loved the outdoors. She enjoyed snowboarding, kayaking, and hiking with her many friends and her beloved dog Bo. Vickie also enjoyed lazy summer days at the Rhode Island shore with family and cherished friends. Vickie was currently working at 99 Restaurant in Chicopee as a waitress. Vickie will always be remembered for her thoughtful and kind demeanor, flare for adventure, and her beautiful smile. Victoria is survived by her loving parents Daniel and Eva Whalen, her sister Samantha, her brother Douglas, maternal grandparents Ted and Gina Trzepacz and paternal grandmother Phyllis Whalen. Vickie will also be dearly missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends, whose company she so enjoyed.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 meeting at 10AM in Holy Trinity Church, Elm St., Westfield, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd., Westfield.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-7PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St., Westfield, MA 01085.
