WESTFIELD – Wayne J. Cowles, 62, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 18, 2103. He was born on February 21, 1951 in Westfield, MA to Jarvis and Rita (Feeney) Cowles, and the oldest of four children.
Wayne attended Westfield Public schools. He served in the Army National Guard for six years and received an honorable discharge on February 25, 1976. Wayne followed in his fathers footsteps and was the owner/operator of J.W. Cowles Construction Co.
His special interests and hobbies included working on his farm, operating machinery, gardening, enjoying nature and spending time with his family and friends.
Wayne is survived by his beloved children, Dr. Kathryn E. Cowles of Appleton, Wisconsin and John W. Cowles of Westfield, MA; his three sisters, Cynthia Cowles and her husband Thomas (Gunner) Laptew, Rebecca Fiske (and the late Donald Fiske) both of Westfield, MA and Constance Phillips and her husband Jordan Phillips, and many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
