WESTFIELD – The Westfield State Women’s Lacrosse team will be hosting our annual Goalie Clinic on Sun., Aug 29 at the Woodward Athletic Center on the Westfield State University campus.
Players from the reigning four-time MASCAC Champion Westfield State Owls will work with you and be joined by three-time Coach of the Year, head coach Jeff Pechulis, and first Assistant Monica Rose, former Bentley College Northeast-10 Goalie of the Year and First Team All-Conference Goalie.
Goaltenders will get one-on-one workouts every day.
Westfield State University has had the top goalie in their conference since 2012, as well as the only All-Conference MVP goalie, three Conference Championship MVP goalies, a first team All-Conference goalie nearly every season during that time frame, and an NCAA D3 All-Regional Second Team goalie.
Any high school goalies interesting in playing for Westfield State or just simply continuing their goaltending career in college is urged to attend.
The goalie Clinic will begin with registration at 10:30 and will run from 11-1 p.m. All players will need to bring their gear, footwear for the turf and gym (in case of rain), and a water bottle.
The clinic will cover all aspects of the goalie’s responsibility with personal one-on-one station drills. Lunch will be served in the revamped dining common. Parents and fiends are welcome to join the lunch for a fee of $8 per person.
Pre-registration is required by August 15 and walk-ons will not be accommodated. Registration is limited. The cost for the clinic is $75 per player. For more details, visit westfieldstateowls.com. – Courtesy of Westfield State University
