The Westfield Jr. Bombers went to battle this morning with Westside’s Holy Name for a 9 to 2 final score, Holy Name. Between the pipes today was Reid Imbriglio with 31 saves. Holy Name spent the majority of 1st and 2nd periods in Bomber territory and Reid had his work cut out for him! With a few changes made to the line-up this week and some work on passing, the Jr. Bombers showed off their new skills throughout the game. In the 1st period Bryce Alconis and Nolan Lafayette made attempts at goal, and Spencer Roy disrupted Westside’s offense and fired the puck into Bomber territory. In the 2nd period things started to really heat up! Sara McMahon assisted by Ryan Rodgers made excellent saves through teamwork and perseverance. Then, through sheer determination and excellent passing skills, J.J. Fox, playing defense; assisted by Nolan Lafayette made the first goal of game for Westfield. Holy Name then answered back with several more goals but Westfield dug deep; John Lacey then returned the favor with an assist by Kailyb Santiago scoring the 2nd and final goal for the Bombers. In the 3rd period the Bombers kept up the pressure on Holy Name with Westfield’s defense on fire, Jack Cashman, Kailyb Santiago, Mason Garrity and Sean Rodgers were a force to be reckoned with, taking control of the puck at every opportunity. On Offense, Michael Miller, Garrett Ondrick, Case Viamari and Ryan DeFalco flew past Holy Names defense making numerous attempts at goal, great job! All in all Jr. Bombers made 14 attempts on goal, excellent job today everyone.

The Westfield Jr. Bombers had a big win against the Brattleboro Rattlers at Amelia Park. Scoring for Westfield were Jacob Millard (3 goals), Joseph Jubb (1 goal, 1 assist), Brandon Houle (2 goals), AJ Robbins (1 goal), Kaitlyn Ondrick (2 goals, 1 assist), Jake Balser (1 goal, 1 assist), Jarred Ritter (3 goals), Gavin Connors (3 goals) and Paul Lawry (4 goals, 1 assist)! Kirsten Czarnecki and Jack McGrievey played great defense. Rick Moritko had an outstanding day in net stopping 27 shots!
WTM 10, Westfield Jr. Bombers 6

The Westfield Jr. Bombers lost today against WTM at Olympia Ice arena. Scoring for the Jr. Bombers were Joseph Jubb (1 goal), Rick Moritko (2 goals, 1 assist), Jacob Millard (2 assists), Jarred Ritter (1 goal), Jack McGrievey (1 assist) and Paul Lawry (2 goals). The team made good defensive plays. Kaitlyn Ondrick had a great game in net with 19 saves!

Today was a tough lost for the Jr. Bombers against a very ready Nonotuck at Olympia Ice Arena. Scoring for westfield were Rick Moritko (3 goals), Brandon Houle (1 goal, 1 assist), AJ Robbins (2 goals, 1 assist), Gavin Connors (2 goals), Paul Lawry (1 goal) and Kaitlyn Ondrick (1 assist). Jarred Ritter played an outstanding day in net with 34 saves!

Scoring for Westfield were Jake Balser (3 goals), Gavin Connors (3 goals), Joseph Jubb (1 goal, 1 assist), Kirsten Czarnecki (1 goal), Jacob Millard (1 goal), Kaitlyn Ondrick (1 goal), Paul Lawry (1 goal), AJ Robbins (2 assists) and Rick Moritko (3 assists). Jarred Ritter had another great day in net with 28 saves!
