WESTFIELD – Staff and students were notified Feb. 4 that Westfield High School would switch to a remote learning day on Friday.
Superintendent Stefan Czaporowski said they were notified late in the day on Thursday that a member of the WHS community tested positive for COVID-19, and the district needed Friday morning to conduct contact tracing, which was completed early in the day.
Czaporowski said there was minimal impact on the school community. The building was disinfected, and the school will be reopening on Monday.
Czaporowski said they notified the WHS school community and close contacts according to their process.
