WESTFIELD – It’s back to the drawing board for the Westfield High School boys’ basketball team.
Westfield suffered through a 63-58 loss on the road at Taconic Saturday, falling to 4-2 overall.
“We did not play tough,” said Westfield coach Bill Daley, whose team had entered Saturday’s game on a high note, having rebounded from a loss to Central with a victory. The Bombers opened the season 3-0.
“They just outscrapped us and outhustled us,” Daley said. John O’Brien led Westfield with 15 points, and Isaiah Headley had 13.
Westfield will attempt to wipe the slate clean when a new week of sports action begins Monday at home against Commerce. Tip off is at 7 p.m.
