WESTFIELD – Westfield Babe Ruth is seeking volunteers for the 2019 13-Year-Old World Series at Bullens Field, August 8–15. Concession stand staff (cashiers, window service and grill staff), ticket sales staff (sales, gate checkers and support staff), and press box help (scorekeepers, scoreboard operators, pitch counters) are needed throughout the tournament.
The typical volunteer shift lasts three hours.
More than 600 positions are available throughout the eight-day tournament. Log into the volunteer site, review the open positions, and sign up. Experienced is not necessary as there will be a training session prior to the World Series.
Greater Westfield Babe Ruth Baseball League President Dan Welch encourages everyone to sign up for three or four shifts throughout the tournament. All volunteers will receive free admission to the games on the day or days they volunteer.
Log onto the Westfield Babe Ruth Baseball World Series web site at www.WestfieldWorldSeries.com and click on the link to the sign-up program on the bottom of the home page.
