Conn. State Police: Westfield State student impersonated cop, kidnapped exotic dancer

SOMERS, Conn. – Police in Connecticut arrested a 21-year-old Westfield State University student Sunday after the student allegedly impersonated a police officer and abducted a female exotic dancer he met through Craigslist.
According to multiple reports, Aerin Reardon, who currently resides at Westfield State, agreed to pay the 31-year-old woman $200 for a private dance, but when he met the woman in Somers he allegedly said he was an undercover police officer and told the woman she was under arrest for prostitution before forcing her into his car and driving away.
The victim told police that Reardon drove her to a parking lot in Enfield and allegedly told the victim he would arrest her if she didn’t have sex with him.
Around 6 a.m. on Sunday, the victim’s boyfriend called police to report his girlfriend had been kidnapped, and when Reardon returned to Somers with the woman police arrested him.
The woman was transported to Johnson Memorial Hospital, but her condition has not been released.
Police say Reardon has been charged with first-degree kidnapping, impersonating a police officer and fourth-degree sexual assault.
He was arraigned on Monday in Rockville Superior Court and as of press time he was being held in lieu of $100,000 bond. Reardon is due back in court on Oct. 18.
