Southwick resident Sue Fox is no stranger to our weekly pro football contest, “Beat ‘The Putz’”.
Fox won our grand prize big-screen television two seasons ago. She is now well on her way to making it a double feature after capturing this past Sunday’s weekly prize, a gift certificate to The Tavern Restaurant.
“I’m pretty stoked,” Fox said. “I’m going to shoot for the big time again this year.”
Fox, who has partnered up with George Kelleher to make their weekly picks, compiled a record of 11-2 in Week 4.
“I just think that this is a great contest that the Westfield News runs,” Fox said. “I enjoy doing it each year just to be competitive and beat (WN sports editor Chris Putz).”
A total of 20 entrants posted 10-3 records. Each one of those entries will be entered into our grand prize drawing for a flat-screen TV, courtesy of Manny’s TV & Appliances.
The quarter point of the season will bring the New England Patriots back from bye. Brady’s bunch will travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys, who have been decimated by big-time injuries to star players such as Tony Romo and Dez Bryant.
Our Sunday night tiebreaker game features the San Francisco 49ers at the New York Giants. – CP
