White, Pats survive

The New England Patriots nearly presented the Baltimore Ravens with an early Christmas present Monday night as the special teams unit tried to hand over the game.
Fortunately for New England, Tom Brady said “take that” and stuck a long touchdown pass into the arms of Chris Hogan to seal the victory.
Beat The Putz PictureI also almost fumbled away my picks, going 8-6 but remained upright at the end of the night Sunday.
Four entrants went 11-3 with Chris White, of Westfield claiming the top prize, a gift certificate to The Tavern Restaurant. White’s 35 tiebreaker points made all the difference.
My trusty sidekick – and loyal statistician, Melissa Hartman pointed out to me that several of our contestants still continue to trust the San Francisco 49ers despite their lowly record. For the record, I will not be taking the “gold diggers” against Matty Ice and the Atlanta Falcons in the George Dome.
The National Football League serves up a delicious slate of Sunday games in Week 15. Fans can feast their eyes on Tennessee (7-6)-Kansas City (10-3) or Detroit (9-4)-New York Giants (9-4) at 1 p.m., New England (11-2)-Denver (8-5) at 4:25, and top off the day with a helping of Dallas (11-2)-Tampa Bay (8-5) in our Sunday night tiebreaker contest at 8:30.
This week’s winner, along with 16 others, will be entered into the grand prize drawing at season’s end where you will have a chance to win a flat-screen television, courtesy of Manny’s TV & Appliances.
Good luck! – CP
