Rodney Bernard and Gabe Piepegerdes led Westfield with 12 points apiece, and Javi Santos chipped in 10. Bombers’ Aidan Dunn and Luis Castro delivered a strong defensive effort. Scott Walsh made a key three-pointer.
“We had a lot of good team effort,” Westfield coach Josh Balestracci said. “Holyoke played very well. They’re very athletic. They’re very fast.”
Edward Anderson scored a game-high 13 points for Holyoke, and two other Purple Knights each finished with nine.
“It was a good team win,” coach Balestracci said. “Our kids played really hard.”

Baystate Academy raced out to a big lead, and never looked back at Westfield Middle School South.
“They had a little too much speed, a little too much talent for us tonight,” Southwick coach Joe Molta said of the visitors. “They were very quick and they were all over the place. It was tough. The game was much too fast for us, but we’ll see what we can do the next time.”
Jake Butller poured in 18 points for St. Mary. Saints’ Gio DePergola and Drew Collins scored seven and five points, respectively.
