NORTHAMPTON – Manny Golob scored a game-high 13 points, and Rodney Bernard (11 points) and Richie Barnett (10) played well at the point guard position in place of Isaiah Headley, who was out due to illness, to lift the Westfield High boys’ hoops’ team on the road. The Bombers defeated the Northampton Blue Devils 56-39.
“We did what we had to do,” Bombers’ coach Bill Daley said. “We got good production up and down the lineup.”
Westfield will enjoy a one-day lay-off before returning to the court Friday night against the same Northampton team at 7 p.m. It will also be Westfield Youth Night. Any local youth who wears their jersey to the game will receive free entry into the game.
