OK Pats fans, you’re going to have to live with the fact that your undefeated team is off until Monday night. What better way to fill that void than by playing our weekly pro football contest, “Beat ‘The Putz’”.
Some of this week’s best includes the Luck-less Colts at the A-T-L, the suddenly struggling Green Bay Packers and the surprisingly steady Minnesota Vikings, and, of course, our Sunday night tiebreaker battle between Cincinnati and Arizona.
Last week, I managed to regain respectability, somewhat, with a record of 6-6.
Chris Frappier, of Westfield posted an impressive mark of 10-2 to claim the weekly prize (a gift certificate to The Tavern Restaurant). Frappier’s only losses included Green Bay and Oakland.
The majority of our entrants lost with Green Bay as very few participants expected Aaron Rogers to struggle like he did, or the Lions to rise from the ashes.
Anyone who posted a record of 7-5 or better also qualified for our grand prize drawing for a flat-screen television, courtesy of Manny’s TV & Appliances, at season’s end.- CP
