The perfect ending to an imperfect season

WESTFIELD – Players sidelined by injuries and Covid-related absences made navigating the gridiron during the 2020-21 National Football League regular season seem like walking through a minefield.
That was not the case though for a multitude of Beat The Putz football challengers.
Greg Masciadrelli went unbeaten (14-0) in Week 2. Doug LaMont won twice (Weeks 1, 3). Norma Coogan, Nancy Skowyra, Ken Martin, Tim Tracy, Nelson West, Richard Borgatti, Sandra Madamba, and Shirley Lozoski each posted one-loss weeks.
Lisa Dee (Week 4), Lorna Farrington (Week 6), Mike Thomas (Week 8), and Michael Gossman (Week 11) each also managed to win one week, securing $25 gift cards to Delaney Market and entry into our grand prize drawing.
Michael Mikszewski, of Chicopee was the final entrant to qualify with a perfect Week 17 victory. Mikszewski apparently saved the best for last, posting the contest’s best record of the season, going 16-0.
There was no winner in Week 14.
All 16 winning entries will be entered into a random drawing for our grand prize, a Super Bowl party at Shortstop Bar & Grill; a $250 gift card to Michael Szwed Jewelers (2nd place); and a $100 gift card to Delaney’s Market (3rd place).
Our grand prize winners will be revealed in the coming days.
