SOUTHWICK – The Southwick High School boys’ basketball team got even.
Southwick improved to 6-6 overall in what Rams’ head coach Dylan Dubuc called a total team victory, bouncing Ware 77-50 Monday night.
Matt Daley converted three 3-pointers and finished with 17 points to lead the Southwick offense. Nick Hough also reached double-digits in the scoring column with 13.
“It was a pretty good overall team effort again with a lot of people contributing,” coach Dubuc said. “When we’re all playing good it seems like guys come off the bench and also play well.”
Southwick’s Billy Stram scored a career high nine points, Chris Molta had nine, Hunter Iglesisas and Nick Chambers each finished with eight, Tim McGrath had seven, and Ryan LeClair, 6.
Southwick finished with eight total 3-pointers.
“Now we have to try to get some competitors against the tougher opponents hopefully down the stretch here as we make our run,” Dubuc said.
To earn a postseason berth, Southwick will need to finish with a .500 or better overall record, or first or second place finish in the league.
