PALMER – It may have looked more like a winter wonderland outside than a pre-Halloween atmosphere, but the Pathfinder High School boys’ soccer team still found a way to scare off their competition.
Teddy King found a way to record a hat trick in snowy conditions, and the Pathfinder Pioneers slipped past the visiting St. Mary Saints 3-2 Thursday.
The loss eliminated St. Mary’s chances for a tournament berth. The Saints fell to 6-9-2 overall, still a major improvement from a year ago.
Aaron Blanchard had a hand in both scoring plays for St. Mary, scoring one goal and assisting on a Matt Masciadrelli goal. Saints’ goalie Jake Butler finished with 20 saves.
