WESTFIELD – Sylvia Josephine (Lorenzatti) Huff, 92, (1924-2017) passed away on February 9, 2017, at Yale New Haven Hospital. Sylvia was born in Springfield, MA, to the late Giacinto and Josephine (Cometti) Lorenzatti and attended Westfield Schools. Along with her nine siblings, Sylvia grew up working at their dairy farm on Union Street, in Westfield. She worked for many years at Anderson’s, waitressed for Lido’s Ristorante in Springfield and later retired from Digital in 1986, where she worked as an assembler for over 10 years. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her friends, attending Golden Ages and bowling in various leagues in Chicopee. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Forrest Huff, in 1982 and is survived by her son Wayne R. LaFond and his wife Debbie of North Branford, Connecticut; her sister Teresa Cowles of Westfield; her cherished grandchildren, Jonathan LaFond and his wife Kathy of Heath, Ohio, and Megan, Allen and Isabel LaFond, all of North Branford, CT.
A Funeral Home Service will be held for Sylvia on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. in the Firtion Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad St., Westfield, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd., Westfield.
