SOUTHWICK – The Pioneer Valley Scholastic Chess Club is hosting a chess fest at the Southwick Public Library on Tuesday from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
According to the Pioneer Valley Scholastic Chess Club, all students in the pioneer valley are welcome to participate in the chess fest. Any patrons participating are urged to sign up by tomorrow, May 3rd, and asked to sign a release form that can either be picked up ahead of time at the Southwick Public Library or they can sign the form when they show up to participate in the chess fest.
While chess sets are provided at the event, the Pioneer Valley Scholastic Chess Club is encouraging students to bring their own if they have one.
With limited space available, tomorrow marks the last chance to RSVP for the chess fest. Interested students can email [email protected] and provide their name and what school they currently attend. Parents are also encouraged to participate.
