AAA performs acts of kindness

WESTFIELD – The American Automobile Association (AAA) celebrated National Acts of Kindness Day on Wednesday, Feb. 17 by coming to Baystate Noble Hospital to donate boxes of snacks and free AAA memberships to health care workers. 

AAA employees arrived at Baystate Noble Hospital Wednesday morning with supplies of snacks for the nurses stations in the hospital. AAA Vice President of Membership, Marketing, and Travel Sandra Marsian said that the company is doing this across the Northeast in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and New York.

“COVID-19 impacted all of our communities. Health care workers have been doing this for over a year,” said Marsian, “We thought this would be a nice way to show our appreciation.”

She said that 1,500 boxes of snacks were delivered to 40 hospitals across the northeast. Other local hospitals AAA delivered snacks to include Baystate Medical Center, Mercy Medical Center, Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Baystate Franklin Medical Center, and Baystate Wing Hospital.
