WESTFIELD – Cassandra A. (Rines) Serrano, 87, (1938-2026) passed away at home with her daughter by her side, on May 3rd, 2026. She was born in Westfield to the late Harold S. and Irene M. (Welch) Rines.
Cassandra owned and operated her own house cleaning business for many years. She enjoyed working out in the yard and working in the garden.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 26 years, Richard F. Serrano in 2019 and two brothers, Wayne and Richard Rines. Cassandra was loved and will be missed by her daughter Michelle A. Sampson with Todd Conant of Westfield, her son, Richard Sampson of New Hampshire, eight grandchildren, Brenda, Matthew, Darren, Kristie, Sara, Josh, Emily and Evan and six great-grandchildren, Alex, Elizabeth, Gianni, Imogen, Hudson and Sawyer and a brother Harold “Butch” Rines of Westfield.
Her funeral was held in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA. Arrangements are under the direction of the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA 01085. www.firtionadams.com
