12:34 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Main Street, a patrol officer reports a routine check of a vehicle seen operating on Main Street revealed that he owner’s license was suspended, the vehicle was stopped and the operator was found to be the owner, a passenger in the vehicle admitted he was in possession of marijuana and a city ordinance violation citation was filed, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
10:50 a.m.: animal complaint, Westfield Animal Shelter, 178 Apremont St., an animal control officer reports an intact male English bulldog was found on Loomis Street
11:31 a.m.: animal complaint, Westfield Animal Shelter, 178 Apremont St., an animal control officer reports a black 10-year-old gelded Yorkshire terrier/poodle mix dog was surrendered at the shelter;
2:59 p.m.: disturbance, Meadow Street, a caller reports his intoxicated girlfriend left his vehicle and is walking, the responding officer reports he encountered ht woman who displayed the classic symptoms of alcohol intoxication, the woman was transported to the station but was not able to contact anybody who would care fore her, the woman did not want to return to her home because the male party she had been arguing with would be there and became combative, the woman was placed in protective custody;
4:22 p.m.: vandalism, Sycamore Street, a caller complains that a neighborhood youth has been throwing eggs at her house, the responding officer reports he was unable to identify the suspect but spoke with other residents who complained of similar incidents;
6:16 p.m.; weather complaint, Hubbard Street, a caller reports a large tree has fallen on a power line, the responding officer reports a large evergreen tree was uprooted and is on several power lines, the G&E was notified and power was restored to the affected area by 9:12 p.m.;
8:51 p.m.; traffic complaint, Southwick Road, a caller reports a tree has fallen across the roadway, the responding officer reports the tree is blocking the road, the DPW was notified and the road was cleared by 10:12 p.m.;
11:37 p.m.: disturbance, Spring Street, a caller reports a loud college aged party, the responding officer reports the tenants were advised to disperse their party but elected o attempt to hide their guests, 12 persons were eventually dispersed from the residence and the landlords were notified of the incident
