WESTFIELD – The St. Mary High School baseball team jumped out to an early lead, and enjoyed a solid outing on the mound from Joe Lubanski to shut out McCann Tech, 6-0, Monday night at Bullens Field.
Lubanski scattered six hits over seven innings. He struck out seven and walked none.
Matt Plasse went 3-for-3 with 2 RBIs to lead St. Mary. Saints’ Joe Lubanski had a hit and two RBIs, Charlie White had two RBIs, and Anthony Garde and Noah Parker scored two runs apiece.
Saints blank McCann, 6-0
