Agawam upends WHS boys’ tennis, 4-1

AGAWAM – The Westfield High School boys’ tennis team hit a road block in Agawam on Wednesday.
Agawam became only the second team to stop Westfield, winning all but one match in a 4-1 victory. Bombers’ Loeiz Briand won at first singles, defeating Brownies, Nick Twohig, 6-1, 6-1.
Chris Unger lost a tough match at second singles for Westfield, falling to Agawam’s Matthew Davenport, 6-4, 7-6, (7-5).
Westfield’s Tanner Dasso lost at third singles (6-1, 6-1); and Bombers’ doubles pairs Aaron Caplett and Alex Best, and Jesse Burlingame and Tillman Raymer lost 6-2, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-2, respectively.
