Masciadrelli posting a winning time of 23.08 on the Giant Slalom to remain unbeaten on the GS this season (3-0).
“(It was a) great race again for the Saints,” St. Mary ski coach Andy Lussier said. “We had some great skiing by the boys tonight (and) a little bad luck too.”
Jack Masciadrelli (21st overall, 5th South Division), Hayden Lussier (23rd overall, 6th South), and Patrick Boyle (59th/22nd) finished 2-4 for St. Mary.
“The 2016 South Division title is still up for grabs,” coach Lussier said. “We have to really ski strong at our league race on Tuesday.”
St. Mary female skier Chloe Lussier placed 22nd overall (44.49) and 10th in the South Division, drawing a positive review.
“Our lone Lady Saint had another great race,” coach Lussier said. “Her slalom confidence is growing and she is really coming along. It is only a matter of time before things start happening for her in slalom.”
BOMBERS TAKE FLIGHT: Westfield skier Neil Sheehan placed fourth overall in the GS with a time of 23.61 … Rebecca Stephens and Grace O’Connor finished second (35.10) and third (35.12) overall, respectively, for the Bombers.
