Brownies rally in final seconds to tie Rams 3-3

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Agawam (4-13-3) rallied for a game-tying goal in the final 30 seconds of regulation to force a 3-3 tie against Southwick Regional in a high school boys ice hockey game Tuesday at the Olympia Ice Center.
Southwick junior Teagan Stannard scored a team-high 2 goals. Sophomore Paul Whalley recorded one goal and one assist for the Rams. Nick Ensign had two assists, and Noah Jubb and Noah Durfey each had one.
Southwick goalie Andrew Morris finished with 17 saves.
“Overall it was a great game,” said Southwick boys ice hockey head coach Chris D’Angelo, whose team’s record now stands at 8-10-1. “It was very fast-paced. Our kids played phenomenal for the entire thing. It was a complete back-and-forth game for both sides.

St. Mary’s closed out the game on an 8-0, fourth quarter run to defeat HCSS. Anna Kosinski led the Saints with 11 points. Emma Goodreau had eight.
