WESTFIELD: Carrie F. (Leonard) Dobek, 52, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 in Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born on November 26, 1961 in Westfield. She was a 1979 graduate of St. Mary’s High School and was a 1983 Cum Laude graduate of Western New England University. Carrie also received a Master’s Degree in B.A. from Western New England University. She worked for Alstrom in Granby, CT as a financial analyst for over 20 years. She was a proud mother of her boy’s athletic accomplishments, in tennis and hockey and always boasting about Mitch’s tennis career and Mark’s academic accomplishments. Carrie was an accomplished figure skater who coached at the ISCC in Simsbury, CT. She loved animals, especially her dogs Max and Maxine. She is survived by her husband David Dobek, her sons Mitch and Mark Dobek, her parents John and Mary Ann (Korzenecki) Leonard all of Westfield. A mass will be held on Saturday November 22nd at 11 am in St. Mary’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Saturday morning before the mass from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield from 9-10:30 am.
