SPRINGFIELD – A 22-5 second, quarter run spurred the Sci-Tech Cybercats 74-63 win over the Westfield Bombers in a high school boys basketball team Thursday night.
Four players scored in double-digits for Sci-Tech.
Kajai Bethea and Xavion Martin led Sci-Tech with 16 points apiece. Cybercats’ Osvaldo Santos and Willie Bosworth finished with 14 and 13 points, respectively.
Westfield made a late run, outscoring Sci-Tech 26-19 in the fourth quarter.
Westfield’s Gabe Santos recorded a game-high 19 points. Aidan Dunn (14 points) and Shane Kiendzior (10) also reached double-digit points production for the Bombers (9-5).
Butler paces Saints
Franklin Tech 77, St. Mary’s 49
Jake Butler led St. Mary’s with 29 points. Jack Lamirande had 10 for the Saints.
Duggan turns back WTA
Duggan Academy 77, Westfield Technical Academy 33
Kamari James (21 points) and Ty’Voun Alston-Person (20) combined for 41 points as Duggan Academy soared at home.
Westfield Tech’s Josh Bush and Kevin Flores finished with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
