WESTFIELD – City Clerk Karen M. Fanion has released the calendar for the 2021 Municipal Election. Up for election in November is the Mayor, the City Council, three seats on the School Committee, the Municipal Light Board and one Library Trustee.
Nomination papers are available to candidates or their designees from 9 a.m. Monday, April 5 through Friday, July 30 at 5 p.m.. The deadline for returning papers to the Board of Registrars is Tuesday, Aug. 3 at 5 p.m. The deadline for the Board of Registrars to file papers with the CIty Clerk is on Tuesday, Aug. 17 at 5 p.m.
The deadline for withdrawal of nomination papers from the City Clerk for the Preliminary (Primary) Election is Thursday, Aug. 19 at 5 p.m. The drawing for ballot position will be held on Monday, Aug.t 23 at 5 p.m.
The deadline for voter registration for the Preliminary Election is Wednesday, Sept. 1 at 8 p.m..
The Preliminary Election will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 21, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Deadline for withdrawal of nomination papers from the City Clerk for the November General Election is Monday, Sept. 30 at 5 p.m.
Last day to register to vote for the General Election is Wednesday, Oct. 13, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The General Election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 2 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
