WESTFIELD – The Gravel Family will host a remembrance dinner for longtime Westfield State track and field coach and movement science professor Jerry Gravel, on Sat., April 11.
The buffet dinner is set for 5-7 p.m. at the Loughman Living Room in Scanlon Hall at Westfield State University as a chance for family, friends, colleagues and alumni to join Joan and the family to share memories of coach Gravel, who passed away on October 8, 2019 after a long battle with cancer.
Saturday, April 11 is also the date of Westfield State’s Gravel Invitational Track and Field meet, which begins at 10 a.m. at the Jerry Gravel Track.
