Daniel B. Oleksak, 32, of 57 Crane Ave., Westfield, was released upon payment of $500 cash bail pending an Oct. 24 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of assault and battery on a family or household member intimidating a witness brought by Westfield police. In a second case also brought by Westfield police, Oleksak was again released upon payment of $500 cash bail pending an Oct. 24 hearing after he was arraigned on two charges of violation of an abuse prevent order.
Michael Matos, 29, of 16 Philip Ave., Westfield, saw a charge of receiving stolen property not prosecuted after the alleged victim asserted her marital privilege and refused to testify.
Michelle I. Parker, 33, of 651 Holyoke Road, Westfield, pleaded guilty to two charges shoplifting by concealing merchandise (a third offense) and a charge of shoplifting property valued more than $250 by concealing merchandise end was sentenced to three concurrent six month terms in the house of correction. A charge of possession of a Class A drug (a subsequent offense) was not prosecuted.
Gino A. Grillo, 25, of 456 South Grand St., West Suffield, Conn., was released upon payment of $200 cash bail pending an Oct. 12 hearing after he was arraigned in a charge of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 year-of-age or older brought by Southwick police.
