SOUTHWICK – The 19th Annual Fine Art Exhibition and Sale is taking place at the Southwick Town Hall on April 28 and April 29. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days.

The exhibition will feature fine arts such as sculptures and pottery, as well as photography, oils, water colors, and woodcarvings and will highlight the work of nearly 40 artists from Northern Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.

The Southwick Cultural Council hosts the event every year an is looking forward to seeing more success with the art show.

“We’re looking forward to continuing to celebrate at least 20 years next year,” said Susan Kochanski, the Chairman of the Southwick Cultural Council.

According to Kochanski, over the years, the number of people that have attended has grown. Last year, more than 1,000 people were there for both days.

During Saturday’s exhibition, there will be live music provided by Eric Roth on the Cello from Noon until 3 p.m. On Sunday, Steve Piper will be on vocals and guitar at the same time.

For both days, the show is open to the community and free admission. All art on display will also be available for purchase. Anyone that has questions or thoughts about the exhibition, contact Kochanski at 413-569-0946.
