WESTFIELD – Holyoke Catholic may have scored three goals against the St. Mary High School girls’ soccer team, but if not for one solid netminder it could have been 30.
Francesca Depergola dove left, dove right and darn near dove right out of Westfield North Middle School Field in Wednesday’s 3-0 loss to Holyoke Catholic. Depergola made 36 saves.
“Francesca made some incredible, whopping big dives,” St. Mary coach Michelle Suhocki said.”It was awesome to see her float across the goal.”
St. Mary will attempt to muster up a bit more offense when it travels to Commerce at Franklin Tech Friday. Game time is 4 p.m.
