Eileen T. Conley

Westfield – Eileen Theresa Conley, 73, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 at home. Eileen was born in Springfield on February 7, 1944 to the late Stanley and Stella (Pirog) Pazik of Chicopee. She graduated from Chicopee High School in 1962. Eileen retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Springfield after 32 years of service. A passionate animal lover, especially cats, she frequently donated to the Dakin Humane Society. Recently, after years of avoiding computers, Eileen started using an iPad and spent many enjoyable hours using it. Eileen is survived by her loving husband of 34 years Kenneth G. Conley of Westfield. She was predeceased by her brother, Ronald. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Sandy Pazik and Dotti Scogna. Nephew, Christopher. Numerous cousins and friends. She is also survived by her little feline rescue friend, Sammy. Every year for the past three, Eileen’s only cat has been a naughty little boy with her Christmas tree…climbing onto the branches, breaking ornaments, and even knocking over the tree. She has been at her wits-end over this on-going problem. Since her loss, little Sammy has stopped attacking the tree, instead, he has been sadly roaming the house looking for Eileen. One would like to believe that the little cat may be thinking, “Please come home mommy, I’ll be a good boy with the tree this year. I promise.” There will be a graveside service for Eileen on January 11, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eileen’s memory to Dakin Humane Society. Westfield Funeral Home and Cremation has been assisting the family with these arrangements.
