HUNTINGTON – The Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is hosting a parent workshop on Social Emotional Learning: Bridging Skills Beyond the School Day on Tuesday, May 14 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Gateway Regional Middle School.
The SEPAC will hold an info meeting at 5:30 p.m. with the workshop beginning at 6 p.m. Complementary pizza and childcare is available; please RSVP to Karen Malinowski by calling 685-1017 or emailing [email protected].
Sean O’Neill will be the workshop speaker. O’Neill has been an autism consultant in Massachusetts schools for the past 22 years. He has created and presented over 50 different workshops for district staff on topics including social skills development, cognitive behavior therapy, social stories, and social emotional learning in the classroom. He has also presented at the state and national level. O’Neill holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, with a minor in Child Psychology. He completed a post-master’s certification program in Applied Behavior Analysis and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. He is also certified as an Advanced Autism Specialist from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES).
