Gators roll; WHS falls

WESTFIELD – Rebecca Herman and a cast of Gators earned five-star reviews for a convincing performance in their most recent act.
Herman led the Gateway Regional High School girls’ basketball team in a big road win Monday night at Westfield Technical Academy High School. Herman scored a team-high 10 points as the visiting Gators’ rolled past the Tigers, 50-6.
Herman was not alone in her effort though.
Gateway’s Gabby Goralczyk netted six points, Duggan and Bryanna Fellows each had four. Several other Gators also contributed in the scoring column, as well as on the defensive front.
Taya Allen finished with three points to lead Westfield Tech.

Rams net road win
Southwick 48, McCann Tech 27

Ashley Shea and Hayley Parker scored 12 points apiece to lead Southwick on the road. McKinley White had 11.
In JV action, Emily Martin (9 points) and Maya Daley (5 assists) spearheaded a 35-20 win for the Rams.

O’s top Bombers
Belchertown 50, Westfield 28

Alex Morin scored a team-high 13 points, and freshman Clara Hinck tacked on seven for Westfield.
