WESTFIELD-Girl Scout troops in the city and in Southwick are up and running and have immediate openings for girls, according to Dana Carnegie, communications manager, Girl Scouts of Central & Western Massachusetts.
Carnegie noted that Southwick Girl Scouts is welcoming girls in grades 1 and 4, and in Westfield, Girl Scouts welcomes girls in kindergarten through 12th grade.
“Joining Girl Scouts is a great way to help girls build confidence, try new things, and discover their inner G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-Taker, Leader),” said Carnegie, adding that previous Girl Scout experience is not necessary.
