The Westfield High School gymnastics is still flying high.
Taryn Hamel won her sixth All-Around competition in seven meets for Westfield, which improved to 9-0 in the regular season and extended its streak to 89-0 with another first-place finish.
The Bombers scored 134.9 points, followed by Chicopee (127.55) and Agawam (126.725).
“It was a good prelude to next week’s tournament,” Westfield coach Joanne Hewins said. The Bombers wrap up the regular season Friday at Minnechaug. The championship meet is next Friday night, November 15.
Hamel tied teammate Brendan Whitman on the vault (8.3). Whitman also claimed first on the balance beam (9.15), a spectacular result, and floor (9.1). Westfield’s Kendall Neidig was first on the uneven bars (8.25).
