WESTFIELD – Our “Super Fan of the Week” has to be 74-year-old Westfield resident Wayne Harju, who attended all but one game of the Babe Ruth Baseball 15-Year-Old New England Regionals this past week at Bullens Field.
“I just enjoy watching them play,” said Harju, a Milwaukee, Wisc., native who coached his son’s Little League team in Liverpool, New York. “I love the enthusiasm of the kids and how they jump up and down. The pros have nowhere near that enthusiasm.”
Harju promises that you will see him in the crowd for the upcoming Babe Ruth 13-Year-Old World Series Aug. 8-15 at Bullens Field.
