HUNTINGTON – Huntington Parks & Recreation Committee held its annual Rag Shag Parade on Sunday. A few dozen kids and parents in costume met at Pettis Field, and marched in a parade over the bridge and down to the town commons.

Ghouls, goblins and princesses then marched around the gazebo as their costumes were judged. Winners for best costumes were first graders Callahan Carter (mummy), Matthew Grant (zombie), and third grader Tricia Anne Thieme (mad scientist).

The rest of the festivities were held inside Stanton Hall, where Melissa Green and Vicki Mathew of the Parks & Rec committee gave out dirt (chocolate) pudding for those who dared to try it, and the children decorated trick or treat bags.
