Jessica Lynn Avery

WESTFIELD: Jessica Lynn Avery (Jess to most, Jessie to only a few), 35, (1986-2021) passed away on September 4, 2021. Jess was born in Westfield, MA on April 30, 1986 and raised in Agawam, MA with her 3 siblings. Jess attended Agawam schools and went on to Gateway Regional for high school. Jess loved the beach and the outdoors. She liked to drive and take in her surroundings. She hoped to travel and see the country. She loved animals and would speak to each one in a high pitch voice used for children, which was endearing. Jess was a very loving, caring and emotional person as well as stubborn, which undoubtedly came from her father’s side of the family. Jess had medical issues that she struggled with but always pushed through the best she could. Her pain is gone, her stay was short but her memory will last forever.

Jess is survived by her beloved daughter Katelynn Avery; her parents, Edward and Erin Avery, older sisters Rebecca Alberti and her husband Andrew; Sara Avery and her fiancé Thomas Small; younger brother, Harley Avery. She is survived by her loving grandfather, Ramon Blood as well as her nephew Harley Biza and her niece Roxanne Small. Jess is also survived by Katelynn’s father, Jon Maynard.

Jess is survived by half-sisters and brother, Beth Ann Love; Laura Otero; Edward Avery and his wife Tammy; Tina Dazelle and all their respective children. She was predeceased by Shelly Mirto and Joey Dazelle. Survived by her uncle, George Avery and her aunt Marcia Couture. Predeceased sadly by many aunts and uncles. She leaves behind too many cousins, relatives and friends to list with the exception of Amy Henrikson, who has been Jess’ lifelong friend. She is missed by all who knew her but will live forever in our hearts.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Firtion Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA followed by a brief service at Pine Hill Cemetery in Westfield. A Celebration of Life to follow will be held at 138 Leonard Street, Agawam, MA for all family and friends and are lovingly encouraged to join.
